Sisters with a passion for electronic repair, are inspired by a family legacy in the industry. Their father, a respected technician with over 30 years of experience, has worked with LG for 18 years. Motivated by their father's work and stories, the sisters envisioned an Indo-German business venture to revolutionize the repair industry.

Business Idea: ElectroRepair

Green Tomorrow with ElectroRepair is an Indo-German business venture aimed at revolutionizing the repair industry. This venture combines India’s skilled technicians with Germany’s high-quality standards to offer sustainable, cost-effective repair solutions. By extending the lifespan of electronics and promoting a circular economy, ElectroRepair helps combat the throwaway culture and reduces e-waste.

With government initiatives like Make in India, ElectroRepair is positioned to provide high-quality services at affordable prices, benefiting both individual consumers and large corporations. Together, we can turn environmental challenges into sustainable business opportunities, demonstrating how smart practices can benefit both people and the planet.

2nd Place Winner

Yusra Tasnim Farooqi

A Master's student in Media Technology at TU Ilmenau, has over five years of experience in software development and project management. Passionate about creating interactive, user-centered applications, Yusra specializes in immersive learning technologies. Her participation in the Indian Business Idol 2024 contest reflects her dedication to bridging cultural and business ecosystems between Germany and India through emerging technologies.

Business Idea: Gamified AI-Driven Recruitment Platform

This innovative platform transforms traditional recruitment by using gamification and AI to create customized interview experiences. Leveraging advanced Large Language Models (LLM), the platform generates dynamic, adaptive interview scenarios that assess candidates in real-time. As candidates progress through the interview, they earn points or stars based on their performance, with the platform recommending suitable roles or departments based on their strengths. This gamified, AI-driven approach improves hiring accuracy, enhances candidate engagement, and matches applicants to roles they genuinely qualify for.

2nd Place Winner

Noel Toms & Dr. Roshan John Samuel

Noel Toms is a Master’s student in Media Technology at TU Ilmenau, currently working as a Research and Audio Engineer at Brandenburg Labs GmbH. With a background in Music & Audio Technology, Deep Learning, and Digital Signal Processing, he combines technical expertise with a passion for music innovation. Noel’s work aims to blend technology and art, making music creation more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Dr. Roshan John Samuel is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Fluid Mechanics Group at TU Ilmenau. His research focuses on Computational Fluid Dynamics, and he has expertise in app development using C++ and Python. With a passion for both technology and the arts, Dr. Samuel is committed to creating innovative solutions that empower musicians and transform the music-making process, making it more engaging and accessible.

Business Idea: EYCMix - AI-Powered Music Creation for Amateurs

EYCMix is an AI-driven app designed for amateur musicians who want professional-quality music without expensive studio equipment. The app offers:

  • Instant Karaoke Creation: Upload any song, and EYCMix generates a karaoke track with adjustable pitch and tempo for customizable playback.
  • Instrument Separation: Separate instruments from single-audio recordings to refine and enhance mixes.
  • Automatic Mixing: Upload vocals and instrument tracks for the app to create a clean, balanced mix, ideal for users without advanced mixing skills.

With its intuitive interface, EYCMix makes high-quality music creation accessible anytime, anywhere for aspiring musicians.

The presence and support of these individuals were pivotal in making the event a success. Below are some of the key figures who contributed to the event’s remarkable achievement.

Mubarak Bawa Syed, Consul General of the Consulate General of India, Frankfurt 
Mubarak Bawa Syed, a distinguished Indian diplomat, was a guest at the Indian Business Idol 2024 event. With expertise in commercial diplomacy and sustainable development, he has served as India’s Ambassador to Sudan, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. He is currently the Consul General of India in Frankfurt.

Wolfgang Tiefensee, Minister for Economics, Science, and Digital Society, Thüringen State Government
Wolfgang Tiefensee was a guest at Indian Business Idol 2024. A distinguished German politician, he has served as a Federal Minister and significantly contributed to Germany’s economic, scientific, and technological advancements throughout his career.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Kai-Uwe Sattler, President of TU Ilmenau
Dr. Sattler was a guest at the Indian Business Idol 2024 event. A distinguished academic, he leads the Database and Information Systems group at TU Ilmenau and has made significant contributions to research and international student support, helping ensure the success of the event through the university’s sponsorship.

Walter J. Lindner, Musician, Author, Speaker, and Former German Ambassador
Walter J. Lindner, a musician, studio owner, author, and speaker, was a guest at the Indian Business Idol 2024 event. He served as Germany's Ambassador to India, Bhutan, South Africa, Venezuela, Kenya, and Somalia. With extensive diplomatic experience, he has contributed to international relations and cultural exchange.

PD Dr. Jürgen Nützel

Dr. Nützel, the CEO of 4FO and a key organizer of Indian Business Idol contest, has extensive experience in fostering Indian-German business relations. He co-founded the CloudPros Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. with former student Shivani Tinna. 

Dr. Priyanka Maity

Priyanka is a researcher in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and currently works as an R&D engineer at UV Technik. With over 10 years of experience, she is passionate about bridging basic science research with real-world applications. Previously, she was a postdoctoral fellow at TU Ilmenau. 

Ayotunde Akinsoyinu

Ayotunde Akinsoyinu, Project Coordinator of International Engineers for Thuringia at TU Ilmenau, has over 5 years of experience in career counseling. She specializes in supporting international students and professionals in successfully integrating into the German labor market. 

PD Dr. Sukhdeep Singh

Dr. Singh leads the Bioorganic Chemistry for Bioactive Surfaces research group at TU Ilmenau, focusing on stimuli-responsive systems and sustainable chemistry. With expertise in both Indian and German academic environments, he bridges cultural and industrial gaps in fields like coating technology, circular economy, and photochemistry.
